Work is well under way now on the new Leigh Park Community Centre and it is hoped that the centre will be ready to open at the end of August 2010 (Date TBC).
The centre will provide much needed facilities for the residents, who have fought hard for the development as well as providing a new base for Wimborne’s Sure Start Centre.
Sure Start is a government backed programme to deliver the best start in life for every child by bringing together early education, childcare, health and family support.
The Community Centre hopes to provide a varied selection of activities for all ages and is available for clubs, parties and other local events at very reasonable rates.
