Welcome to Leigh Park Community Centre

After many years of local residents campaigning to have a place to call their own, the Leigh Park Community Centre finally opened its doors to the public in 2010.

Leigh Park Community Centre is a charitable run community centre. Here you will find information on a range of activities including children's dance classes, fitness and the other exciting activities.

The centre is located next to Wimborne Rugby Club in the historic town of Wimborne Minster. We are always trying to improve the centre and the services we provide to the local community; we would like to hear your views.

The centre hosts a wide range of children dance classes, pilates, boogie bounce, Slimming World. There are also community groups such as coffee morning and toddler group.

Other new services at the Centre include Wimborne Foodbank, Job Club and Citizen Advice drop in sessions.

Our partnership with the Surestart Children’s centre (now run by the charity Action for Children) has been a great asset in many ways: providing a continual daily presence of paid staff and offering complimentary activities in their own section of the centre.

The Wimborne Children's Centre is run by Action for Children, one of the leading childcare charities, who work in partnership with Dorset Sure Start and other agencies to provide services to families in the local community.
